Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, holding the experience of all the previous ones. Water in mutable mode makes it the most fluid and permeable nature of the wheel: Pisces sense the mood of a room before anyone speaks. Their ruler Jupiter gives breadth of soul and the faith that mercy outweighs calculation.
The symbol is two fish swimming in opposite directions, tied by a thread. For the Greeks these are Aphrodite and Eros, who turned into fish to escape Typhon: a bond that keeps each from getting lost in the boundless ocean.
